The stupidest question?

listen...I'm new to the live -patching world...so this may be the STUPIDEST question in the history of the world. With regard to ANY of the roster patches that are out now...or will be released in the future...If we change the player ratings..how can we make the new rookies in year 2 ,and so on in franchise mode have similar values?
For instance if I like the "steal" stat no higher than 60 for any player in the 1st season..is there a way to make the maximum steal stat 60 the next year, for all those rookies ? If there is a way to "edit" files to accomplish this...can someone tell me how..step by step? PLEASE

Sort by years of experience, and the rookies will come up on the top. Select just those players then put it through your formula.

If your talking about within the game...I dont have access to edit the stats of the players once the game has started. If your talking about editing outside files of the game...I dont know how to do that...is there a tutorial?

Ok..I DID IT!! Thanks to the post here...and pieces from other posts...I figured out how to edit the right file. Thank you all in the forum.
