Hey Andrew! When can we expect the official tweaked roster?

I am sick of all the tweaked rosters by everyone here on board out there. I want the official TWEAKED ROSTER so i can really start my franchise. I know that you might get the game next week right Andrew? How long it will take you to master the game so you can really do the tweaked thing? Have you master the demo yet? Anyway, do you have the best formula setup to tweaked the roster yet? If you do, can you tell me because i can use the formula on my roster.

Andrew runs this site, but is not employed by EA. I can't even remember the last time EA, if ever, EA put out a tweaked roster patch.

If I can make a suggestion, the folks that made tweaked roster patches have done so on their own time and talents to make the game playable for the community. If you cannot not adjust to what they feel is a good product or package, then don't critize them for their efforts. If I were a tweaked roster maker, if I read your 1st statement, I wouldn't feel inclined to send you one.

I will take this opportunity to thank all the tweaked roster makers for their time and efforts.

What the smuck are you taling about bucksball? I tried all the roster out there and they are great, but not that accurate. I also made the tweaked roster myself based on people calculation. Anyway, i just want the one from Andrew because i think he can make the pretty accurate result. ANd i never said Andrew is the employee by EA, so what the fuck are you talikng about? The NLSC roster patches are not official patches, because the only official patches come from EA Sports themselves. Because Tim and co made the first roster patches way back in 1996, updating the rosters has become an NLSC tradition, so I guess you could say the NLSC is the official home of the unofficial roster updates. :wink:

I ordered the game and it should be here in the next few days, Monday at the earliest. As soon as I've played it a little, I'll look into creating the NLSC current roster update/tweaked current roster update. I'm not sure if the same co-efficients Kq and I used for NBA Live 2001 will be appropriate though, so I may have to experiment before I do the tweaked version.

Andrew is a great patch maker but they aren't official. I really like the salary edits he does.

Thank you for your kind words, but Lutz actually did the realistic salaries before I took over the 2001 patch. I haven't updated them for the 2002/2003 season, as I can't find up to date listings. Patricia Bender's site only has up to last season.

And yes, my roster patches are unofficial, because this is an unofficial website. Because they are widely used a lot of people seem to consider them official, but I assure everyone, I don't for EA, and anything that's not in the Official Files section is unofficial. Not that there's anything wrong with unofficial.

Andrew,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for the time and effort that youve exerted in maintaining this site. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.

I just would like to make some requests on the unofficial roster patch that you would start making as soon as you've played the game.

the request are as follows:

1. Keep the game speed faster than the NBA Live 2001 but definitely slower compared to 2003

2. Layups must be easily challenged or blocked

3. Lessen the fastbreaks in the game.PG's shouldnt run immediately down the court looking to score. The SG's are acceptable if they run quickly downcourt to score but the PG's should be the one to bring the ball downcourt

4. Make the shooting, blocking, rebounding, fouls at a realistic level. In other words, keep everything real, as close as its real life counterpart.

5. Make the game more of a defense oriented game rather than an offense oriented gameplay. Like what coaches use to say "defense makes offense"

I'm not quite sure if you find my requests reasonable. But I just hope you can improve the gameplay of live 2003. i want this game to be as close to the real thing.
