v1.11 released...

Postby Andrew on Sat Sep 27, 2003 6:54 pm

A new version of the current roster update for NBA Live 2003 (v1.11) is now available.
New in version 1.11:
- Rosters accurate as of September 27th, 2003
- New installation method
- Some jersey numbers updated
- Some player ratings and data updated

The new installation method should work for XP users, but be sure to read the instructions carefully, as the rosters must be installed to the correct folder. I hope to make further improvements to the installation routine in future updates.

As usual, from now on please base all feedback/corrections/bug reports on the current version. :)

No problem #12. :) No other feedback, anyone? Surely it's not perfect.

With training camp starting, there's going to be a lot of players invited to camp who do not make NBA rosters. I probably won't create all of them, unless word is they'll still be around come opening night.

New installation method worked perfectly for me(much better and faster than old method). Thanks Andrew.

Can you retire Isiah Rider and Mitch Richmond? They are on FA list but the both finished our careers.

Nenê 77  - He Should be 79-80

I hope(wish) Alex Garcia will be in the next version. (3rd brazillian)

Congratulations Andrew!

I can retire Richmond, but I don't think Rider has officially retired.

Nenê 77 - He Should be 79-80

Nene isn't quite at the same level as guys like Amare Stoudemire (also 80 overall) - yet.

I hope(wish) Alex Garcia will be in the next version. (3rd brazillian)

If he's added, it will have to be to the Free Agent pool (San Antonio doesn't have enough roster spaces in Live 2003 to accomodate all the new training camp signings). Like I said, I probably won't add a lot of training camp players unless word is they'll still be around come opening night.

Thanks Andrew.

San Antonio have 12 players under contract and 17 players at training camp.

Tommy Smith the 53rd overall pick signed with Split(Croatia). You will keep him on the rosters.(other players like Pat Burke, Dalibor Bagaric signed with European teams too). It's just a question not a sugestion.ok?

Ok, ok, you right about Nenê :(
In Live 2005 he will be 85

Yes, players who are already in the roster will be left in the roster, in case they make a return to the NBA (eg Quincy Lewis this offseason). Since I've already created all 58 rookies who were taken in this year's draft, some of them will be left in the free agents pool.

Hi Andrew i like what you are doing. I've played with the NLSC current rosters for NBA-Live 2000. That rosters had so much free-agents. Now I want to ask you, can you make more free-agents. I remember guys like Melvin Levett, Arijan Komazec, and Shaheen Holloway. I really miss those free agents. Another player is miss in free agency is Ousmane Cisse. Cause he played very good basketball at high school. Look at this site

He is an animal you know!

I installed it to Nba live 2003 saves, but when i open the game, the roster arent there. Can you help me out here? i wanna keep playing live 2003, cuz who knows? live 2004 might be a bust this year, with EA u never know, they will always dissapoint u in one way.

Bakerinzee,

In the past I've had complaints that there are too many free agents. I'd like to keep the free agent pool restricted to players who stand a good chance of being signed. Right now there are a lot of players who will be cut during training camp, and will not make the league this season. Therefore, many of them probably won't be created.

frontspin,

Are you sure you installed it to the correct folder? For Windows XP, you should be installing it to:

Documents and Settings\YourUserName\NBA Live 2003\saves
or
Documents and Settings\All Users\NBA Live 2003\saves

Some XP users have the same folder as Windows 98 users:

My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves

Remember, don't just unzip the archive to the correct folder, run install.exe and just click through the installation. You must select the correct folder when you are prompted to do so.

The latest version of the roster patch doesn't use a .bat file for installation - it's a Windows installation. Are you sure you downloaded the latest version?

I don't know when I'll release the next version. LeBron James is already 83 overall, I'm not making his ratings any higher just yet. In all the tests I've done he's averaged at least 15 ppg, but once the season starts I'll give him projected Dstats to make sure he averages realistic numbers.
