Ditties for Live 2003! HELP!

Postby cocobee on Fri Nov 22, 2002 2:54 pm

Ok fellas, I really want to hear my own "in game" ditties. Has anyone else besides me messed around with these files. It doesn't seem like EA has done the ditties like the past lives. The ditties in the game are in the : nba live 2003/audio/aems folder. Only problem is that the dittie importer only reads the "xcrowd" which is only 1 instrumental and the "xbeach" which is just sounds you'd hear on the beach court. The other files are weird ABK files & AEM file :?: . I have not found a media player to play these files , so I have no idea how to listen to them much less edit and add my own ditties. If any one can help me try to figure these out, please drop me a PM or e-mail. These files may also be compressed--oh well--any help would be appreciated.

 Just a thought--would it be too far fetched to think, if we just added our own ditties and make a ditties folder/update or something--kinda like updating the player patches

Does anybody know where can I find records ( .mp3 / .wav ) of real ditties from NBA arenas?
I'm especially interested in music jingles played during ballgame - you know, all these short instrumental themes. But I'm looking for player introduction songs also.
Any info about where can I download these jingles would be a big deal.

I'm not talking about regular songs that were just cut and edited a little. What I was talking about are mostly organ music ditties - you know, that kind of jingles that can be heared only during NBA or NHL games.

eeexxxcccuuusseee mmmeeee!

I was talking about the same thing too, like the organ player from the NY knicks' games right?--and the Adams family theme and the Nu Shooz begining in Orlando games--every arena plays different ditties--so I try to add a little of every teams ditties in my game

I'm right with ya...One of my all time favorite Jamz is "Above the rim" by Bell Biv Devoe, and i'd like to put that in my game...I have been trying myself to crack this....lets all work together for a solution to this!

We should write in a petition to EA...ask for something like a sndviewer except that works with .abk files...
And while we're at it we need ask for a new dittie importer too...one that converts mp3's into to smaller sized .asf. because a good 4 minute song is about 10 Megs...bit of a bitch.

I found some stuff

Postby pHiL :) on Sun Dec 15, 2002 3:44 am

I found the Dittie Importer which converts MP3s and Wavs into ASf files for Live. And a i found GAP 1.32 which lets you listen to the track in the game and strip them. But...whenever i use GAP, it crashes so there must not be a stable version out yet.

I'm gonna try to use the Dittie Importer and just change my files into the same names as the files in the music folder and replace them. The only thing is the script in the game may not change so it might be like the game will be playing say..."Nas-Made You Look" but the script will stay say that corny @$$ "Hot Karl-Blao".

Here are links to get both the Dittie Importer and GAP 1.32 and if these links are broken, do a search on google. Peace
