96-97 Roster Patch

Would anyone be interested in the roster patch from the 96-97 NBA Season? I'm working on one and have only a few western conference non-playoff teams left to finish. I've adjusted the players' ages, experience, and appearances to make them similar to what they were in 96-97 season(ie Kobe is a 18 year old rookie and Shawn Kemp isn't covered with fat). I adjusted the ratings to suite my playing style but if enough people are interested, I might "normalize" them. So, let me know if you're interested in this patch and I'll try to finish it faster. Also, I made the exact 96-97 schedule for Live 2001 and if anyone knows how to convert it to 2003, that could be a part of the patch.

The schedule.dbf files are the same for NBA Live 2003 and NBA Live 2001, so you could probably just copy all of the data over. However, remember that the Hornets and Grizzlies have changed the TEAMIDs around a little. You would have to go through and correct some TEAMIDs.

Yeah, I also realized that the Hornets and Grizzlies have different id's. The problem is that the id changes of those two teams also changes the ids for a lot of the other teams as well. I do plan to fix this problem and it's good to know that nothing else has changed with the schedule file.

If someone could help me fix the schedule, the I could get the whole patch done faster since I could then work on the unfinished rosters. If anyone wants to volunteer and is good with a dbf editor, please pm and I'll send you the schedule.

how's the work going? do you change the dunk package for some players too?? AI needs a better dunking rating cause he dunked a lot in his first years in the league!

Yeah, I tweaked AI's (as well as Stephon Marbury's) ratings to make him dunk a little bit more like he used to when he was a rookie. I also switched AI to PG, which is what he played in his rookie year. As for how far I've gotten: I finished all the East teams a month ago and I have all the playoff teams from the West. I still need to fix everyone's ratings a bit more so their team has the right ranking. I might finish up another team today but my main goal right now is to figure out a quick way to correctly change my 96-97 schedule from Live 2001 to Live 2003 but it looks like this part will take a while.

Sorry about the wait, but I've been really busy lately so I haven't had a lot of time to work on the rosters. However, tonight, I do plan to finish the Spurs with David Robinson, Dominique Wilkins, Sean Elliot, and co. I don't plan on doing a half-hazard job and releasing this thing so it's going to be a while for those interested in playing with these rosters.

The rosters be finished by tonight, october 3. I'm still not sure if I want to release it yet, because there are a lot of little things that need to be fixed: mainly the team rankings and my need to give created players generic cyberfaces since I can't give out the cyberfaces I have installed for them like Clark did.
