Thanks,
but a detailed tutorial in our FAQ section for the 5on5 game crashes had been posted, but due to the large interest of the patch (~3000 downloads already, and its a 30mb patch) we have bandwidth issues, which I'm hoping will be resolved very soon. But I'll quote the faq, or atleast this particular bug-related question here:
Q2: The Rucker Park works, I managed to play it with regular NBA teams, but with the custom ones (Legends, Nike, And1, ETC.) it doesn't work, it crashes at the loading orange layup guy!!! Help!!!

A: Locate the Street-3-Core_Art.exe you downloaded. Open with WinRAR, or WinACE. Find all the files that have the names labeled as: a1_xoverlay.fsh, l2_xoverlay.fsh and others with "**_xoverlay.fsh". Extract them from the archive to any desired location, and rename the files by deleting the "_xoverlay" from those file names (so you get file names like a1.fsh, l2.fsh and so on). Now, go to your main NBA Live 2003 folder, where you have NBA Live Street mod installed, then go to the "render" folder, and in it create a folder named "xoverlay" (without the quotations, ofcourse). Take the files you've just renamed and put them in that folder you have just created.
and this bug is only experienced by 1% of people who downloaded the Mod, due to some incopatibility issues of EAZip with shitty platforms like WinMe. So, for the majority it works absolutely fine.

the audio "error" - is not an error, it's supposed to be that way, bchogan made it that way, to remove the Arena sounds from the outdoor court... you would not hear the arena announcer on an outdoor court anyway, right? it's only like that for realism sakes.

oh... and for the "no-cd-crack" compatible fix... well, it has been documented that for some users a no-cd crack makes Rucker Park not work at all, it is required to own a CD of the game, a legal copy is recommended too... and may I also add that promoting no-cd cracks is illegal?

tony..

you and your team donw an extrmely good mod....

I didnt mean to offend you but some of the players didn't know what to do or does if they found an error.... we simplify it so that they only neded to click and play...... and some want to paly with arena anouncers....

but overall we like your patch....

no bitter feelings tony... peace bro

3000 downloads! Wow. Imagine if you'd charged as little as $10/per download. Let alone sth like over $20 that EA sells its add-ons for games like NHL 200x. It would be illegal, but just imagine it.

Yeah, I know. I'm sure though that it would anyway be a more than welcome compensation for the work they've done. It just amazes me how much time & effort the fans of a particular game are willing to put to creating huge mods like this. And this mod is quality stuff! Just look at the amount of detail on the "Legends" team, for example. Damn!

haha NHL200x charging for addons? where? siberia? theyre all free on any site.

next time a patch is made try to test all platforms. winME might be a piece of shit but theres no reason EAZIP shouldnt work with it. its not our fault the codewriter of EAZIP didnt do the job correctly.

Actually, only about 6-8 people were major contributors, but I credited everybody involved, even if they submitted only 1 shoe, or 1 cyberface, or gave some technical guidances.

But personally, I'd be more happy if any one of those 3000 people who downloaded the patch, and liked it, donated atleast 1$ to keep it available for download, and then we could easily collect the $$$ to pay for bandwidth expenses. I wouldn't take any money for myself, or the rest of the team that contributed, why would we, the end result and the popularity of our work is enough gratification as it is.

But even a buck per download would definately pay out all bandwidth expenses. I guess the downloaders just didn't appreciate our efforts enough :( (N)

And in response to PistolPeteMaravich...

It is not fair to Don Daily, the excellent developer of NBA Live related software, to make such remarks. We had no idea that under WinMe, the piece of shit OS that it is, it would not work, exactly because IT IS a piece of shit software, there IS reason for EAZip to not work with it.

Don already worked hard to make fixes for the problem, give the guy a break. It didn't work for about 20 people, out of what, 3000? Atleast the problem was spotted, and is trying to be solved.

Yeah, the Rucker Park court doesn't work with illegal copies of Live 2003 (with no cd-cracks). I went over my friend's house to install the Street mod for him but I found out he downloaded the game off Kazaa

Huml:

The problem can't be OS related - I'm using XP Pro and I had that problem. Unless those "2980 people" are all using the same OS.

It's definately related to the system you're on, and what settings you have. I have XP Pro too, and the installation went smoothly when I tested it out - so did for a great number of other people I gave it to test out. The developer of the software says it's OS related, why should we not believe him?
