please help me I´m going maaaad!

I have been looking forward to this game for 2 years now (at least)
BUT: I have not been able to play the game for much longer than 5min yet. My specs are: windows XP, Geforce 2 MX, 1000mHz, 640mb RAM and some sort of decent soundcard. The problem is simply that the game crashes.

Before i dl the xp update pack 1, or something like that, i could see a bluescreen, with some text, unfortunately it was so briefly showed and followed by a total restart of the comp, that i could´nt figure out what went wrong. Can any1 plz help me???

uhm, try to look for your answers in the other threads. this problem has been addressed already.

It is you have a Ram problem or you have bad drivers for your video card or soundcard could be some of them

My problem is just that when I look at the other posts, I simply dunno what their saying. I am not that good with computers, so I really need an "idiot version" of this

Unfortunately I have seen this screen before... the one I saw was a Physical memory dump. Bad news, but not horrible. Mine was caused by a bad motherboard. You might try downloading the latest Nvidia Detonator Drivers from Nvidia's website. Also, try setting your video settings in the game to the minimum detail. I've had Madden 03 hose on me when I set my detail levels WAY high. Make sure you're not running out of HD space. Maybe a defrag would help. Wish I could tell you for sure what's going on and how to fix it, but just thought I'd throw out some ideas.
