Issue with adding a team

I just added the Charlotte Bobcats to joemimic's roster patch, but i'm having a problem.....

I dont know how to insert the logo (i think the prob may be it has to be a .fsh file, but i dont know how to change a bmp, jpg, gif or any other file like that to it)

I tried to insert the jerseys in here are the file names:

CHAWAY.fsh CHAWAY_num.fsh
CHHOME.fsh CHHOME_num.fsh
CHSERD.fsh CHSERD_num.fsh

is thier anything wrong with this?
when i go to the screen for select jerseys the home one shows up fine, but if i try and change it to away or the alternative (which i'm assueming is the one endign with serd) it freezes, also it freezes when the bobcats are away and i go to the jersey screen (which i'm assueming is because the away jersey is messing it up)

can anyone help me?

This may sound like a stupid question, but do you have Bobcats jersey and logo files in your render/xteam folder?

yes i do, i actually just downloaded new rosters, and a court even and it all works, i'm just left with logos, which i thought i installed right but they arent working heres where i placed the logos....

I renamed all the files from cb to ch (cuz i made the team abreviation 2 that) beginings, should that effect anything?

btw, i dont know if this helps but in game, when stats pop up the logo is there..... the rest dont work...

another thing is everything is the hornets logo, but it has charlotte in it, i thought maybe the logos were just the old hornet ones, but when i go into ea editor and look at the .fsh files they are all the bobcat files...

So long as it matches Abbreviation 2 in the DBF files it should be fine.

Try changing the abbreviation and filenames back to cb. Also, do you have the jerseys working yet?

the jerseys are working, but i had to download different ones..

i did everything you said and it worked i'm left with afew minor problems though

they should have alternative jerseys (thats what the cbrender is for correct?) and they dont, also when i switch jerseys, it still says away jersey, so technicaly i have 2 away jerseys (when thier home it does pick thier white jersey so its just a small text error i believe)

the logos suck lol, but they do work after renaming them back to cb, along with all the other files. but i can live with these problems if they arent easy to fix, and i'll prob try fixing the logos myself but knowing me i wont have much luck lol

I think the name of alternate jerseys should be XXserd, where XX is Abbreviation 2. The names of the jerseys can easily be changed by editing the entries in teams.dbf.

well i dont remember if it was teams.dbf or something else but where it had jersey shit in it i know one was home and one was away....

and the serd is xxserd.fsh and xxserd_num.fsh, cbserd.fsh and cbserd_num.fsh to be exact..

well i got the alternative in, but all 3 of the jerseys still say away. and yes the shipnames are all correct (home, away, serd in that order) in the teamgear file....

still looking for the bobcats logos.....

btw do you have the cleveland logos? if so could u send em my way?

The problem lies in the JERSEYTYPE fieldn (I need to update the Teamgear.dbf Editing Guide :oops:

heh andrew, ur right, but this wasnt the full problem. i had tried this before but it didnt work (edited the teamgear in my save....), i just found out the teamgear isnt loading or osmething, and when i edited the current team gear, and then loaded everything worked.... thanks a ton andrew, now onto the logos :roll:
