Made new roster: realistic gameplay, no speed decrease

Postby Showtime32 on Fri Nov 22, 2002 2:10 am

I reduced the FG's, 3pt's, blocks, and steals, but left the speed and quickness at default.

I love the speed of the gameplay, but the above mentioned areas were too unrealistic, imo. My new roster has produced quite realitic gameplay without slowing down the game. Here's some stats:

Lakers (user) vs. Kings (cpu) on allstar, 8 min. quarters:

Lakers 115, Kings 111 OT

Team Steals: Lakers 6, Kings 4

Team Blocks: Lakers 7, Kings 5

Turnovers: Lakers 6, Kings 9

3pt shooting: Lakers 3/6, Kings 5/12

Email me if you'd like to try it :)

The only problem with all these new rosters is that I lose track of them. There are so many being made, with different positives and negatives. One thing I do notice is that one roster solves one problem, and another roster solves a different problem, but still I haven't used one that combines both. Knowing me, I'll never decide on one to use.

Hey,

i test 2 different rosters, and both were good, ok bei def ist not so good about 110 points but reducing the game speed is a good thing.

But 1 problem isn´t solve by all rosterpatches. If you pay franchise in your first season the overall rating is mostly the old, but in the next season the overall rating goes down. Ok no prob, but the new rookies of the draft have the original nba 2003 overall ratings.

Now you have Shaq will 77 and a rookie with 80 and......

try simulating with 12 minute quarters and see if the stats are realistic.
