Nene Hilario changed his name to simply Nene. Is there any way to do this in the game? I have tried database editing but it doesn't seem to work. Any help would be great. Thanks.

It's possible. Simply make his surname Nene and leave his first name field blank. You can't do anything about the speech file though.

I use the toolkit and it says it is not possible...

Which Toolkit? I use the NBA Live 2001 Toolkit to edit Live 2003, and it allows you to leave the first name field blank.
