What kind of controller do you all use?

I'm makin the switch from PS2 to PC and I searched the internet and found the perfect controller, only to get it and it didn't work. It would have been so perfect b/c it's the exact same thing as PS2. Now I am back to looking and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. Thanks.
