Changing the team is easy. Simply edit the TEAM field in coaches.dbf (see my guide for details). Just make sure there aren't any duplicate numbers, as any team having two coaches will cause the game to crash.

You can also add fields to coaches.dbf using DB Commander. Simply go to the last row in the database, and press down. Fill in this row with the required information. You can then assign this coach to the team of your choice (but make sure the former coach is no longer assigned to that team).

Andrew, are you going to add those coaching changes to your next roster?

To the best of my ability. Obviously, I'm going to have to use one of the Decade All-Stars coaches if Jeff Van Gundy signs, or just leave it as-is. This is where Create-a-Coach would come in handy. I'll switch around the coaches who are in the game though.

That reminds me, I'll also have to go back and change the coaches in the old season roster patches.

You can switch Brown-Carlisle-Cheeks around easy...then for Cleveland-New Orleans-Atlanta I shifted it so John Lucas goes to Atlanta (since from a distance he'd look like Terry Stotts), Lon Kruger to New Orleans (Brian Hill or Tim Floyd) and then Silas is on Cleveland...

i was planning on doing a coach patch (with all faces) when all coaches for the next season are onboard their new respective teams... ;)

A good idea...but isn't Cheeks staying in Portland? I like the idea though, thanks. :)
