Why won't my DBF Pro not accept frickin' negative numbers?

Postby antwainbarbour on Mon Nov 18, 2002 12:50 pm

Everytime I key in a negative number, an error message comes up saying "Error to field 1" and then goes on to say that my "value is out of range"....why is this happening, and can I just simply change the value from a 50.00 to a 20.00 instead of keying in a -30? Tell me or help me, please....this game is driving me bonkers.

If you're editing a rating, then it's a field that only supports two digits "-30" is three...thus...yes...you do type in "20"

I am trying to edit the "field"....this changes the ratings for everyone, right? Everybody keeps listing the fields they edit and they key in negative numbers....so, for example, if I wanted to edit "FGBASE" to make less shots go in, what expression would I punch in?

Well, it depends on which program you're using...but I will assume that you don't do it that way in your program...

I'm using DBF pro and I use the FoxPro format.... It just won't accept - numbers for some reason.
