Replacing the intro movie

Ok, I checked the other thread and I know what the movie file is.
What i want to do here is not to remove the movie, but to replace the movie with some others.
Does anyone know what encoding or file type it is?
Can I just get an mpeg or any movie from whatever the type and rename it to xintro.mad ? Or maybe there is a way I can convert the type to "mad"

You won't be able to replace the movie by simply changing the file extension of an mpeg file to mad - you'd need to convert it via the appropriate software. Unfortunately, I can't really help you any more than that, but if anyone else has more details, by all means share your knowledge.

Yea, that's pretty much what I expected.

Thank you for your message. We apologize, however, any alteration to the game design, aside from what can be changed in the options given in the game menus would be a violation of the NBA Live 2003 user agreement. As such, we would not be able to supply you with any information regarding programs or the extensions used by the game.

But I was impressed by the EA's support system. Much better than smaller companies like 3XX which you have to email them and wait forever until they send you a reply (or not)

Only as far as tech support goes. If you corrupt your game files through the use of patches, then it's a problem EA Tech Support can't help you with.

However, if EA did not intend for the game to be patched, they wouldn't have introduced the custom art feature. Of course, any problems that arise from unofficial patches are nothing to do with EA themselves, so they can't and won't answer those queries.
