for example
I had chris porter(warriors) avg. 11ppg 8rpg 1.5bpg in 22mins off the bench
he went from a 77-75
um hello, they are good numbers off the bench
also i had corey hightower avg 21ppg 6rpg 3bpg in 28mpg
went from 77-76
ive never got the progression, like in madden, if sum1 has great numbers and a superb season they'll improve accordingly, on live it seems random
i just want to know it that is improved???
Unfortunately the players developments have been pretty much been decided before you play even a single game. All the players have potential packages which tell the game how they develop. It is quite dumb and I'd like to see a more statistical development in the future. In Live 2000 there was something based on the statistics, but Live 2001 franchise was so messed up I wonder how they dared to put it out... Shaq scoring 40 ppg with overall 65. Think about it for a while... Ofcourse that's when the production team had a complete make-over.
Something about the packages:
A - the package to have and expect this player to go up, up and up
B - usually has a sort of a jig-saw going back and forth, but will eventually end up positive
C... - the player will propably get worse with time
Usually a player in real life get better with time until he gets too old. So it is quite dumb to see a 21 year old just keep on getting worse. The best example of this was with Ilgauskas in Live 2001... He had a 7 year maximum 300,000 deal. Started with over all 76 or something (it was almost two years ago), but let's just say that try unloading a guy with overall 65 with 4 years of contract left and salary of 300,000. It was fun playing with overall 65 guy filling my salary cap. Without Ilgauskas my salary was somewhere around 800,000 so adding a player with an overall 80 to that wouldn't have been even hard.
Forget the stats and just look up the careerpkg column with excel.
