referees?

Am I missing something, or are there no referees in this game? It's weird seeing the ball magically go in the air on a tip off, and bounce right back to the player for his second free throw. I never though something like that would bug me, but I miss the referee...this also contributes to the pace of the game being too crazy.
I was really upset until I tried charlie c's rosters, and saw that lowering the speed and quickness really does the trick. But I'm trying to figure out how to do it without dropping everyone to 60. I'm wondering if guards were still in the 80's and 90's, but slower guys who might be in the 70's got dropped to the 60s and 50's, if this might make a difference. I plan on experimenting with this some. That way the guards would still be fast, but the big guys wouldn't be downcourt so fast and maybe it would work...
This game is frustrating me, but I can't wait until the ea graphics editor comes out, cause I think we will be able to just pump out classic jerseys left and right. I hope we can get the legends cyberfaces updated somehow though.
