Some wrong ratings

Hi Andrew. I would like to comment you some issues about ratings of a few players I think are not right:

- Emanuel Ginobili dunking and jump ratings are very low
- Gilbert Arenas dunking rating is very low
- Marko Jaric dribbling rating is very low (note he can play as point guard)
- Pau Gasol Dunk Package is wrong, you can see few times him making a two-handed slam. Normally he dunks with one hand.

Finally I would like to congratulate NLSC team for your excellent site and features.

That would be because he's not a excellent dunker and jumper.

That would be because he only throws down simple dunks and not very often.

- Marko Jaric dribbling rating is very low

Just because you can (keyword: can) play point guard doesn't mean you're a really good dribbler.

- Pau Gasol Dunk Package is wrong, you can see few times him making a two-handed slam. Normally he dunks with one hand.

That's just picky, I don't think there is a dunk package where they only dunk with one hand.

You can change these yourself with a dbf editor!

I appreciate the feedback, but Colin has pretty much summed up why I have assigned those ratings/left them as they were. I can only work with what's in the game, so some of the dunk packages are not perfect.

Colin, I don't know if you've ever seen Marko Jaric playing. I've seen and Jaric really CAN dribble well.
I also think Arenas doesn't deserve 50 in dunk rating (50 means NO dunking, if you don't know).
Ginobili really isn't the player who jump less in NBA (I don't know if you've ever seen him playing).
And about Gasol I think NLSC team could change his package as they've done to other players. I think there's no need to repeat you if you've seen Gasol.

Colin you should look some Ginobili highlights, he's a tremendous athlete.

The ability to dunk is controlled by the dunk package, the ability to make dunks is controlled by the dunk rating. I can raise his rating to about 60, which means he'll be able to pull off basic dunks from his dunk package. It's possible for players to dunk with those lower ratings, but they won't be able to perform all the dunks.

And about Gasol I think NLSC team could change his package as they've done to other players.

As I already explained, there is no dunk package that contains only one handed dunks. The DUNKPACK that Gasol currently has is the most suitable.

I'll look at those other ratings if you insist, it's not a problem to edit ratings, especially this time of year.

Ginobili should have higher jump and dunk ratings. That reverse dunk against lakers proved he has hops.

I'm not sure whether I'll release another roster update for this season, but I'll definitely look at fixing up everyone's ratings (including Ginobili) during the offseason.

andrew u might want to take a look at why miles is rated so high, a *gasp* 87 overall?

Yeah, I plan to go through every player's ratings this offseason. Darius Miles is one player whose ratings I'll be lowering.

andrew,gotta question for ya, u(already )told me u would release new rosters after the draft, which i appreciate very much but is it possible its just, kind of the original rosters just with a rookie patch and trades or signings made until then, i really wouldnt prefer any tweaked rosters if thats possible but if it aint, no problemo phal .

There's nothing to update transaction wise until the draft. There won't be any trades until the draft, and free agents can't start signing with teams yet.

I know , but i figured u said right after the draft, a couple of weeks after the draft and well, then its already july, but i didnt realise u were that fast, my mistake , but u still didnt answer, will there be an untweaked version?

Yes, I'll continue making both the normal (untweaked) and tweaked versions of the roster.
