it's driving me crazy, i've tried to load new patches but it didn't work.
i have windows xp (i don't know if it matters in loading patches).
i've downloaded the new roster patch and i don't know how to install it, the same problam with the ncaa patches.
the only thing i installed and is working is tracy mcdrady's shoe patch but nothing else.
if there anyone who can help me on this and guide me through, i'll be very thankfull.

If you're talking about the NLSC roster update, check update.txt for installation instructions. It should be noted that not everyone can get the .bat file to work under Windows XP. It's strange that some can and some can't, but that's Microsoft for you.

patches

Postby assaf_23 on Fri Apr 25, 2003 2:44 pm

when i download the patches an unzip them, the files contain dbf files and i don't know if i should replace the new dbf files in the database directory where the original dbf files and than to use the .bat file, and if not to put it in the database directory than where to put it.
i've downloaded the tracy mcgrady show patch into the main nba live 2003 directory and used the .bat file that came with it and if worked
so, should i asuume that every other patch i download sould be at the main directory the same as the shoe patch?
i've tried understanding what to do with the update.txt but i'm still not sure what to do.
if it's really the problam of having windows xp than i asuume there's nothing i can do about it...

As explained in update.txt, you unzip the roster patch files to the folder than contains saves (eg C:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003). In previous Lives, you would unzip roster patches to the main folder, but with Live 2003, the saves folder is in a seperate folder to the main game files.

so i should zip it to the saves folder and than try to use it or just the particular save files whithin the zip file i've unzipped?
but than where do i leave the dbf files, there must be some place they should be

If your saves are stored in C:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves, then unzip all the files in the archive to C:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003 and run install.bat. The batch file will then move and copy the appropriate files.

If it doesn't work, and you are in the correct folder, then you're one of the people who can't get the .bat file to work under Windows XP. As I said before, it's strange that the .bat file works for some people under Windows XP but not for others, but David recommended software for a better installation method, so I'll see what I can do in future versions of the roster patch.
