Hi, I have this problem that's been stumping me. I'm not sure if I'm taking the right steps to import numbers into the game. They appear blurred and off-color and sometimes the transparency color "leaks through":

.
THey look even worse from a distance.
The same problem did occur with SOME built-in graphics, but not as severe and I thought at first it was a video card driver problem but updated the drivers to March 2003 version and problem was no different.
Here's the screenshot from a "built-in" jersey that came with the game:
Assuming this isn't a video card problem (NVidia GeForce4 MX440 with latest drivers and DirectX 9, the default ingame details setting is "High" and I'm running the game at 640x480 resolution), here's the general process I'm using:
1) Inspect the jersey I'm going to be replacing to make sure I have the right size number graphics for front and back.
2) Extract the old number graphics from .fsh using EAGE then doing the editing in Paint Shop Pro (sorry I don't feel like spending $$$$ for Photoshop).
3) Reduce to 256 colors, set transparency color and save in .GIF format.

4) Use GFXPak to import the created graphics back into the FSH file and then back into XTEAM.VIV.
I notice that the "built-in" graphics don't have a transparency color at all. I know people use BMPs to import number graphics but you can't set a transparency color for them. Another warning message I get from GFXPak is something like "Pallete doesn't match... re-mapping".
If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.
