lineup for my team, can i have more than one Star player?

here's my "unbeatable" roster :
using LA Lakers
fantasy draft:
C-Yao Ming
PF-Drew Gooden
SF-Dirk Nowitzki
SG-Jon Barry (mad 3 pt shooter )
PG-Steve Nash

Bench:
Shawn Marion (used to be my main guy before i got Nowitzki)
Jalen Rose
Earl Boykins
can't remember...

before i got nowiztki, when i use shawn marion there's a star under him. is it possible to have both of them have stars when they are playing at the same time? i find that the guy with the star is the best scoring. i know its this best player on team thing. and any suggestions for my roster? any trades i might want to make? right now i basically have a 3 pt team. yao ming could grab all the rebounds, and drew gooden does too. but drew gooden cant seem to shoot more than 6 ft away from the basket, although he's got the muscles to power himself into his range.

should i get shaq for yao and rose?

if i were u i'd start dirk PF and put gooden on the becnh and bring marion on and i'd start jalen ahead of barry aswell, nash and dirk can hold down the 3 point shooting without barry on

but then if u can get shaq for yao and rose then i'd do it, shaq is worth getting for sure if u get shaq u just bring barry back on for rose and start shaq at center in yao's spot

i didnt use nowitzki as a PF because then he always goes close to the hoop and i have to bring him out for a 3 pt shot. i know that rose could shoot 3s pretty well, but he tends to loose the ball and doesnt have the 3 pt shooter icon. wel, ill try your lineup on my next game thanx.

use the 3 point quick play, he'll come out to the 3 point line then, also try posting up then quickly running out to the 3 line, the computer doesnt really expect the PF to run out to the 3 and pop one up

An intimidating lineup to say the least. To answer one of your original questions, the star is used to indicate the best player on the floor. If your two best players both have the same rating, then it might display a star for both, but I think it would probably just give it to the player with the higher primacy in that instance. If they have the same primacy...I'm not sure, it would probably only designate one player as the best player on the floor.

what they do is just trade say 2 guys rated 80 for a guy rated 95 and a guy rated 65

i personaly choose not to, i'd rather the challange of having an average team then having a team full of stars, also i would rather see the players play well in their own team, not play average for me because they arnt as prominant in a star studded team

that is why i like my nuggets team, coz i have a big scorer in kobe, and a bunch of complimentary guys with him for them extra 17 and 13pnts etc.
i traded shawn marion rodney white and walt williams for kbe,currie(70 R) and pargo. so i gave a bit for him
i signed posey in the offseason
and traded harrington and tskitisvili for hughes and eggebrecht(70 R)
