Hello friends!
we are close to organizing all the necessary data to map (mostly accurate) the various retro-jerseys for the upcoming last decade and dr. j collection rosters. these collections will be most likely broken into 2 sets:
1 - dr j collection 70s/80s eras for:
1971-1972 (Patrick G's if time)
1976-1977
1982-1983
1983-1984
1984-1985
2 - last decade +
1988-current
we have "stubs" files created for most slots of the various years for these rosters. see below:
i am currently working on the ABBREV2 code and jersey mapping program that maps the correct jersey and logo to the various rosters.
while I can continue this programming, I had hoped my friends here and elsewhere could look at and try to finish the Graphics missing ones and replace the programmatically converted ones from Vinlex. these converted ones fromVinlex Do WORK in the game, but have still the black
transparency problem in the shoulders. the numbering is not too hot either. lol!
I went through by hand and converted a number of them using the Jowe, captnkirk?, and others tutorials and examples. I am also looking to replace a number of them with original artworks by many members here and elsewhere much better version ones.
however, to complete this colections in a nice way, it would be good to have the last remining Vinlex ones redone, and also some more of the missing ones for the Dr.J collection years done.
after analyzing all the years files, I have put togther 2 HTML pages here with Pictures, and the example Vinlex graphics that would be good to have redone or done originally.
these are very applicable to these 70s,80s,90s year rosters especially!
1) here are pics of the missing ones needed:

2) here are the vinlex garphics bitmaps of the ones that should be redone first:

I know some of them are kind of plain, and may not be as excting to do as some of the others. but because they are easier and simpler designs, they could provide a nice project for patchers still learning techniques in making the jerseys. plus for the easier ones, they are an opportunity
to come up with some unique signature techniques (like collar & neck trim effects, etc) for your own jersey styles that you build upon later.
if you are interested in finishing some of them off, please do! and contact:
mailto: nba2kstuff@GameBox.Net
we can set you up with access to pre-release and development WorkInProgress snapshots areas for those who wish to contribute some graphics, effort and time into the projects.
** Also note: Don't be dissuaded or discouraged by the jersey numbering and position for some of those old jerseys. try to make them as close as you can. there may be some possiblities later that allow the numbering position and sizing to be subsequently adjusted on the jerseys to make them more accurate later.
so please take a look there and try to help if you can, to complete this most comprehensive collection of archival basketball historical information and program ever before created!
thanks and peace!
