HUGE error occured when editing dbf files

i was trying to add a new team. i made new players in create player , then i saved the roster. i then took those players from that roster and added them to another roster (players.dbf)and change the id number of the ten players that i added, so it'll keep the db in consecutive numbers. so i went in and edited all the files necessary to add a new team. i set the team id to 41.
I tried using the team , i can select it from the team select screen, but it has no logo it stays on the previos team logo. So i select it and it always crashes when it's about to finish loading.
i thought it may have been an error in the way that i edited the players dbf , because i went into team management and roster setup and only two teams had their full roster and every other team had only 4 players including the team that i created.
What did i do wrong?

You changed the IDs. You should always leave the IDs alone.
