the graphics of this game are really good, but the interface is sucks.
it seem to be like the nba live 95.
EA must have to release some GUI patch becouse now it worth even than nba 2001.

Do you mean the "menus"?

Because the game looks great on my computer. Some people are complaining about the resolution in the menu screens, but who cares as long as the in game graphics look good. Right?

IMO they wasted a ton of space in the menus. the fonts are too big and you have to scroll all the time just to get a little info on a players stats etc.
since you compared it to live 95, i liked what they did then much better. clear layout and lots of info. but ever since live came out for consoles too it´s gotten worse and worse.

i'm not a fan of the menus... they are too confusing... they also do not display enough data. I hate how you have to press "sort column", you should just have to double click... and in the defensive matchups- u should be able to double clikc, but NO u have to press a button... I am also not a fan of the orange... but the graphics are good... and the game play is sososos... in 12 min all-star I average 210 pts... and give up about 180-190... u tell me lol

And the sort button isn't available everywhere.

I hate the menus, they are the same menus as the consoles have so they don't take advantage of the PC's higher resolution and mouse. Generally I have found it a real chore to look through statistics. And I always have to scroll to see my stats for the whole team. It's just bloody awful.

yeah, the interface IMO is the worst thing about the new Live... It's a big pain in the ass to navigate. It wouldn't be half as bad if you could actually use your controller. I especially like how you can press start to pause but not un-pause the game. Nice job, EA.

Yep, whoever is responsible for that is a true mastermind.

Thats the thing I have always found with EA Sports, they will impliment a feature and instead of doing it properly they will do it half arsed.

They have some good ideas but they never complete the circle.

Heaven forbid a feature should actually work well. Any that do are promptly removed for the next version. (Create Team; 3pt Shootout; GUI that is relatively easy to navigate; first name, team, and games started columns in stat files; shooting range & clutch ratings in create player... I'm sure i'm missing a ton more.)

It is hard to evaluate the quality of the menus because we are all new to the title.

Given that, I feel that Live 2000's menus were FAR more functional.

I realy liked when i played a game and the game was loading it would show me the ratings of the teams in live 2001

Yeah, Im not terribly impressed with the removal of the Shooting Range and Clutch ratings. Primacy is a little vague I'd prefer to have more control over how a player plays.
