Fouls - and my problems with them

Postby TheBigEasy on Tue Feb 11, 2003 2:32 am

Hi folks,

i have played now more than 30 games in Live 2003, even more, if my comp wouldn't get freezed so often. And always i have much more fouls than my opponent. My star player nearly always gets into foul trouble. I am playing with the Hornets, so Baron Davis gets into trouble pretty fast. And that sucks ... kinda.

Any ideas how to avoid fouls?

I've noticed that guards tend to get into foul trouble more often than the forwards and centre, mainly since most of us control the guards to defend the ballhandler, and go for a lot of steals (therefore very easy for the PG especially to get in foul trouble). I suggest defending players without the ball, the post players are a good option. That way, there's less chance of letting the guards get open for a shot, less chance of commiting a foul with the guards, and you are better prepared to prevent points in the paint (that largely contributes to higher scoring games).
