Question about Franchise Mode

I first of all apologize if this question and or situation has already been spoken about and or resolved but I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to edit the franchise mode so that superstar players i.e. Tracy Mcgrady and Rasheed Wallace don't show up in the free agent list in the begining of the next season after their contract runs up as a free agent with a 30,000 contract, L.A. in my franchise games always end up signing Jason Kidd or Rasheed Wallace with a 30,000 contract and then end up resigning them for 7 year contracts so essentially the team becomes an all-star team.
