Silly databases...

Postby Rens on Wed Jan 29, 2003 9:16 pm

Shoot! I was going to reply but the thread disappeared. Silly instable databases these days... As I said before, great that NLSC is doing something to improve their roster and involving the community in the process.
I was going to use quotes but since there's nothing to quote now I'll just sum it up:

  • I never mentioned nbalive.org.
  • I didn't know you wrote EAGE. Nbalive.org actually allowing people to download this program without having to use FilePlanet is doing the makers of the program a favour.
  • The customization guide was written by EA and sent to everybody.

Yes, EAGE is an NLSC production (Brien's work, as it happens). And you're right, I don't mind it being mirrored. But...

I never mentioned nbalive.org.

which is true, but I could see that you were insinuating I stole the idea or at least drew inspiration from the nbalive.org open source roster (which by the way I do think is a great idea). As I said in the latest amendment, it's a support forum for all NLSC roster patches (even though there's currently only one available), for all feedback including suggestions.

So when you suggested (or at least, what I thought you were suggested) that I was copying an idea from nbalive.org, I brought up EAGE being hosted on nbalive.org without asking first. The fact of the matter is, I don't mind because I know how much trouble FilePlanet can be.

The customization guide was written by EA and sent to everybody.

In that case, why credit "Tim Tschirner and Beggs" for the guide as it appears on nbalive.org? If the guide was sent to everybody as you say, and I had nothing to do with its first posting or production, why give me credit?
