Most realistic gameplay for intermediate level players

Postby Lakerfan on Wed Jan 01, 2003 2:44 pm

I just started a season witht the Bulls. I am an starter level player for now. What would be the most accurate settings for me to use. I downloaded and am using Kaspers rosters, the FG% seems about right. ShouldI play with CPU/User shots, utilize cpu catch-up mode, etc? I realize I will not get a true simulation, but I would like to be close. Any help would be appreciated. Are these the right rosters to used?

i think the best setting would be all-star... try using andrew's rosters instead... turn off cpu assistance so that you would be able to gauge if you're playing good or bad...

It really depends on how you classify "intermediate, the most popular roster around seems to be Dk's. So I'd suggest using them, and playing on starter level. Once you can beat that move up to Allstar then to Superstar.

Rosters

I have played two games with DK's rosters. Lost the first, The second,
Hassell hit a Three to tie it at the buzzer. Bulls won in overtime.
FG% seems to be about right, but the free throws still kick my ass.
The thing moves too fast.

i found it quite convenient to get an understanding of how to make my own rosters. there may be somethings that you dont like, that other ppl dont have a problem with. so i took some one elses roster that seemed closest to my reality of true life balling and made changes to that roster.
(of course i wouldnt put that up for dl.. that s just plain wrong... lol.)

no cpu shots or cpu assistance...NO! lol that wont help your ego in the long run....

Well if your struggling with freethrows it could be because of slow frame rates on your PC, causing delays ect.

FT bar does move kind of fast,, but it's like in real life, if you concentrate hard enough you'll drop them :)
