how do you get to the foul line?

i head to the line about 20 times a game.. but i find it really hard to draw fouls.. the most effective way, i think is to run the pick and roll.. either running off the screen and drive to the basket or dish it off and have someone else take the shot.. either way coming off screens is my way to get to the line.. whats yours?

Definitely the best way to get to the line is to take the ball to the basket, although you can sometimes lure the CPU into a foul with a quick head fake followed by a shot, but that isn't as effective (and often leads to a block). I've noticed that posting up and spinning to the basket for a dunk or layup often draws a foul, as your opponent is left behind and fouls you in the process of trying to get in front of you again.
