Im using windows xp i run the install BAT and says its not i the right directory but i extracted the files to my nbalive2003 folder is ther a subfolder?

Did you extract the files to your main NBA Live 2003 folder or the appropriate My Documents\NBA Live 2003 folder?

Which in your case would most likely be D:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003\

No, this folder was created when you installed the game. It is where your saved games, game settings etc are stored.
