In need of a Christmas Miracle...

I just got NBA Live 2003 for Christmas (early)...

Seems I can't install the stupid thing, though.

I have a BRAND new computer, and a fairly beefy video card.

The installation gets to a ubi.viv file and can't manage to copy it. Sometimes it'll get past this one and hang up on another file.

I've been CLOSE to completion... about 75% or so... but no dice on 100% yet!

Has anyone heard of this issue before?

I Emailed tech support at EA, but (obviously) no responses yet. That's fine, it's Christmas!

Anyone know any info that might be of service?

I don't have the answer for that but I was having the same problem, not with video but cpu would froze when was almost finishing, I kept trying til I got it, so now the game says there's an illegal operation and will shut down, I emailed the support as well and waiting for responses. I hope after you get your matter solved, doesn't come up something else cause that's what Im going thru.

The only possible cause I can think of is physical damage to your NBA Live 2003 CD.

i have the same prob. i actouly had it installed once but i uninstalled it because of an error message now i get this! oh well, theres no damage to my CD so we can elimate that for the most part.

Do you have any Norton system tools? If you have WinDoctor, you could try running that to detect and fix any Windows errors that may be causing the problem.
