installing a video card on a dell?

hey guys...i just got a chaintek geforce ti4200 128 mb 8x agp...but i have a problem...i dont know how to detatch my old piece of sh-t card and install this new one...can someone send me a link or tell me how to do this (the right way--professionally)

Is your old video onboard? or a vid card? If it's a video card take cover off of PC, find the slot it's connected to, pull it out a & replace with new video card. You want to uninstall any old video drivers first and then shutdown and replace the card. If it's onboard video you may have to disable that and make sure you have an agp slot to put the new card in.

its a video card (geforce mx420 32 mb 4x)...so its that easy?? thanks pops...

not sure what your mobo looks like, but on mine, there is a green latch, just pull away from the card and slide it out, but remember, unscrew the card first
