On Defense, How do u tackle ball-handler without fouling???

I have a question.

On PS2 Online play, there are some online gamers that are able to knock my ball-handlers down without fouling them. How the heck do they do that?

I mean, I was playing with the Rockets and I was playing against someone who used the Blazers, and Damon Stoudamire knocked over Steve Francis 15 times, and Damon was only called for a foul once. Francis would lose the ball every time as he fell to the floor, and Damon would go in for a lay-up.

I am good online player, but the only time I lose is when online-gamers resort to tackling my ball handlers. It's not basketball, but I'd sure like to know how to do it.

How the hell are you supposed to win games when the other online gamer resorts to having their players tackle your ball-handlers without having fouls called against them.

well, nobody turned the fouls off. But yet they still knock my ball-handlers down. sometimes the fouls meters are truned up and it doesn't even matter.

I do notice that these types of players also have 56K connections like me.

And it seems like there are more knockdowns when I play 56K players.

i don't think it really has anything to do with the connection speed. the computer does it to me at the end of every game, no matter what the foul settings are. i can even get away with it a few times by holding the turbo button and running into the player with the ball. sounds like they may be using the hand check on you though, if it's even in 2003. try anticipating when they're about to push you and keep your finger ready on the shoot button. i get some foul shots out of the computer doing that.

its a gay thing that been weird for EA SPORTS for a while, if u have turbo on and you know into the guy he will lose the ball, and fouls arent always called
