did you ever set a pick yourself successful

yes i know this was ask before, but any search didnt have a solution.
the problem is: you can call a pick and roll quickplay and a player comes
and sets a pick with crossed arms.
but if you want to set the pick yourself with the controlled player its impossible. you just can stay close to the target, but you cant set a hard pick. (and you get shoved around when the target player moves)

i tried almost every kombination but nothing seems to work
is there really no way?

i couldn't find any way either.
i don't think its possible.
its dumb how there are so many buttons but there are so few things you can do with a player without the ball
