The formula for a better game

Well the game is been out about a month now and I have been tweaking the game for a better part of a month and have arrived at certain conclusions.First off, forget just about every rating EA gave in the game if you want to have better gameplay.Do not worry about tweaking most ratings down globally and then edit the better players from that, because the game is now more realistic for me based on these settings.I should mention that some things like offensive rebounding and the difficulty of foul shooting is hard coded and can not be fixed no matter what you do with the ratings.Everything else is fixable. These ratings are used in simulation mode at allstar level with fouls turned up to the max with 12 minute quarters and all rules on:Also, try not to double team any player except the better ones,so this should be tweaked at the options screen once inside the game. That's right,I said 12 minute quarters.Trust me on this,it was well worth the effort.

Field Goals:55% for bad players and 63% for great players.Anything higher than 63% gives unrealistic results.
3 pointers:75% for the better shooters is tops.
Free Throws:For the team you control this needs to be set at 90 and up.For the other players set accordingly to how good they are.
Dunking:At 65% with great players I still get plenty of dunks,Every other player who reallly does not dunk that much needs to be set in the 50-60 range.
Inside scoring:Lowered to 55-65%.Great inside players will still be a presense at 65%.
Off Rebounds:75-98%.I have not had much luck with this.
Jumping:Needs to be lowered to 55-65%.
Strength:55%-80.Anymore than 80% and the players (even the strong ones are too good).
Quickness:Lower it to 53-63%There are too many steals for more than 65%.
Speed:Very fast players need to be set only at 63%.The fast breaks are still there, but are more realistic now.All other players need to be lowered in the game with slow players set at no higher than 55%.
Passing:Raise it to 88% and over for less steals for all the players and better passing(This does not effect the speed of the passes which are hard coded into being too fast). So for example someone like John Stockton needs to be set at 98%.
Dribbling is left unchanged.
Off awareness:I raised this to between 85-98% to further reduce bad passes and still have smarter offensive players, because I lowered all field goal potential in the game.So the players shoot a more realistic % but make less errant passes.
Def Rebounds:Should be lowered about 10-20% for all players.
Def awarness:This must be set to between 90--99% becuase there is not enough defense in the game the way it was.
Stealing:No more than 65%.
Blocking:Set at 70% and no higher for the better shot blockers gives realistic results.
Endurance:My findings that are set to 78% tops for the better players or user beware, the computer will not sub enough. They are still substituted for at a realistic rate at 78%.Anything set higher the players are not subbed enough for.All subs need to be set for less than 70%.
Hardiness:Let it be.
Primacy:If you want better control played ball at a more realistic pace set the players more likely to shoot the ball(SuperStars) no higher than 61%All other players need to be set between 50-60% and near 60 for the better players who will take more shots.

This has been tested by me and I have been getting some realistic results with points no higher than the 110 range and usually averaging about 95 and shooting % between 40 and 50% for any given game. Also, using these settings for speed did not stop the fast breaks, but slowed up the game to a more realistic pace with less arcade and more a sim-like game.Peace everyone.
