I'm having a bit of a problem with NBA Live 2003 crashing and I want to see if anyone can help me solve it.
Whenever I play in 1280x1024 res, the game is kinda jerky and usually crashes on me in the 2nd quarter. When it does, it either a) simply drops to the desktop, or b) brings up the Blue Screen of Death saying that there's some sort of error in win32k.sys (something about page error in a non-paged area or something like that) and that it's writing a memory dump to the hard disk. I eventually have to reboot and when I log in again, it takes a LONG time and thrashes the hell out of the hard disk; I usually get impatient and reset it again and it generally boots up fine.
In 1280x1024, I have to turn many of the detail settings down to Med or Low to reduce jerkiness.

However, when I play in 1024x768 mode, the game seems to run fine and rarely crashes (it's crashed maybe once in 1024x768). The display is very nice and the gameplay is smooth and fast, but I'd really like the extra resolution.
My setup is as follows:
Athlon 1.2Ghz
512 Mb PC133 ram
GeForce 2 mx/400 (64mb)
nVidia Detonator drivers 40.72
19" KDS shortneck monitor (.26 dp)
80Gb 7200 rpm hard drive
Win2000 Pro w. SP2
SoundBlaster Live! Value
Gravis Eliminator Aftershock USB controller (w latest drivers direct from Gravis)
So, should my setup be able to run Live 2K3 in 1280x1024 mode with a nice level of detail? Or am I stuck with 1024x768?
Any comments or suggestions of things to try will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx for your attention.
