Editing the .dbfs

I've working on a toolkit to view, and edit the nba 2k3 dbf's

But I've problems with the teams.dbf, the standings and statistics do not correspond with acctually information.
And if you save the statiscts from the game they don't correspond with what you see on the game.

Example, on the end of a 28 games franchise, if you check the standings from the GM' desk they are all right, but either if you save them to a .txt or if you check the .dbf some teams have 26 games, other 25. It's like it's one or two weeks delayed from the game. Quite wierd.

The thing is, anyone any ideas, or anyone knows how to read the .dat files?
