Why NBA LIVE 2003 sucks...

No its because the cpu can score at will or they have soo much steals..BUT how easy its to score and dunk..why shot the ball at all? just go to the paint and you got an easy dunk or lay up..even with the tweaked rosters...

the biggest bug is the cpu goes for steal too much..just post up and when the cpu goes for the steal just drive and dunk...you can do this all day!

W've heard this complaint a million times now Knickerbocker. It's time to stop beating this dead horse and move on.

Yes the game has flaws. Yes the game has inconsistencies. Yes the game needs some tweaking. Yes the game could benefit from a patch. Blah blah blah....

But this is the only game out for our beloved PC. So from that perpsective, we tend to accept and embrace it more than most people would.

Just play the game and have fun with it. Play on EASO and get more of a challenge from another human. I can guarantee you that most ballers on EASO will give you a run for your money.

I feel all these incessant comments and bashing about game flaws and whatnot is moot. We PC users have been accustomed to adjusting player ratings to our liking for eons. It has been this way from the inception of PC b-ball gaming, and most other games of this genre for that matter, and will ALWAYS be. That's the beauty of the whole thing. I certainly don't condone EA's lack of effort(or whatever you wanna call it)in certain areas this year, but they have created a game with tremendous potential IMO. Potential to be better than any other Live games in the past, if it isn't already. Games like Nba2k3 and ID 2k3 offer game sliders. Why? To allow the user to customize the game to his/her liking. EA has gone this route with other games such as Madden, however, in a sense I liken this to the same rating adjustments we've been making from day one. It's essentially the same thing, only the results are achieved through different means. It's only prudent to make this an option to the users, and EA has continued the tradition which allows us to make just about any adjustment we feel necessary.

Simply put, the game almost never satisfies entirely out the box. The only difference this time around is that we do have to make drastic rating adjustments to a wide range of areas/ratings compared to the past. With the inclusion of these alterations you can't tell me this game is anything but impressive. That's really all I can ask for, promise of a better game once adjustments have been introduced.
