problem with tweaked rosters

i have tried to tweak my own roster with a dbf editor but when i go to roster management>reorder rosters i see the original ratings of the players BUT when i go to edit player i see them with the new tweaked ratings.... when i edit them an say confirm they keep the new updated ratings but i must do it for each players...and the seeds of the team r not the same either and reflects nothing real..what's the problem then ?
