Fri Nov 29, 2002 1:13 am

i can install this game successfully but when i started the game , there is a error message dialogue box said that there is a page fault in kernel32.dll file. Can you tell me what is the problem?

My computer is 500MHz , 64MB RAM and Voodoo 3 display card.
I know my comnputer did not meet the requirement of the game but is the reason of showing this error message?

Can i play the game with a little bit lag?

thank you for your attention!~

You should be able to play. I have 64 MB RAM too, and I can play the game just fine. But it looks like it runs in slow motion if you are playing in Franchise or Season mode unless you set the camera to baseline high. The only time I get an error in Kernel32.dll is when I use the instant replay feature. Try to reinstall it.

It´s your video card...I´ve had a lot of problems with kernel32.dll-errors over the years and it has always been some sort of conflict between the game and the video card. If you´re still sitting on a Voodoo3 then you seriously need to think about upgrading. It´s really not that expensive, and you´ll get to play a lot of games that you otherwise won´t be able to play, and the games you already have will show drastic improvements visually.

Hey oomp, would I be able to get a Voodoo 3 video card in my PC? Right now I have an inteli810E, and both the Intel website and the Hewlett Packard website say my video card is non upgradeable. I think I really need a new video card though cause Live 2003 runs in slow motion on my Pc and I have a lot of errors in GDI.exe in other applications. The tech at HP said my video card has 11 MB memory, but when I looked in DXDiag, it only reported 5. What's up with that?

Ouch...no offence, but by getting hold of Voodoo3 you´re barely pushing your specs-problem away for a couple of weeks. With a PII/PIII and Voodoo3 you`ll go through a lot of disappointments in the coming months when you buy new games. Most of them won´t even load properly, and with the games you manage to load you´ll experience A LOT of lagging and other annoying problems.

Other problems with Voodoo3 is that since Nvidia killed off 3dfx there are no updated original drivers. Which means that all you´ll get hold off are 3rd party drivers which can be very unstable.

However, if you for some reason can´t dish out money for a new motherboard, processor, RAM and video card, then you´d might wanna push your system by overclocking, using application accelerators, using tweaked drivers, manage application priorities etc. Some tweaking has a small element of risk, but safe procedures like overclocking is something you definitely should think about.

And for your questions... ;) Yes, you can have both 810E and Voodoo. And I trust my DxDiag more than I trust an HP-tech - there is no way no 810E has ever had a memory of 11mb.
