Transition Defense Strategies?

How the hell do you play transition defense in Human vs. CPU and Human vs. Human games... ?

Seems to me like there's nearly no chance to stop a fastbreak in a Human vs. Human Game...
Which defensive player do you navigate? Which button do you use, when you come in front of the ballplayer and you are the last man next to the basket?

You could try using the "take charge" button (which is what the shoot button is when you're playing D). Just make sure you're outside of the no-charge semi circle.

Alternatively, you could try intentionally fouling *before* they are in a position to shoot. This tactic is often used in the NBA to stop a developing fast break.

I wouldn't put much faith in being able to block the shot. Clean blocks of breakaway dunks very rarely occur in the NBA, as in the game.

Also you can use the last man back button.

I ussally run back quickly after I shoot. Even before I have released the button the analog stick is already of the way back. It is better if you run back with your guards. Whenever I try to run back with the SF, I give up an easy dunk. Also if you find yourself in a 2 on 1 situation, run to the semi circle and put your hands up like you were getting arrested by the LAPD. They ussually either pass out of control, or miss their easy shots. BTW, I have always used a tweaked roster, so I dunno if it work ALL the time.

if u want to basically stop transistion defence
go to
defencive matchups in the strategy menu, and then click the bottom 3 players, being pg sg and sf, and click pressure to "tight" that massively reduces transition buckets, of course there still will be some
