Help?! NO jersey number...

Wed Nov 27, 2002 3:29 pm

hey guys, I need some help!

I am using Windows XP with a P-4 processor, and the game is running very smooth except that the jersey number is NOT showing. Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong? Thanks!

The first thing you should do is update your display card driver 8)

For one why the fuck would I have to do that. Two how do I do that??? Three my jerseys are missing number, home jerseys are tinted gray suppose to be whitish or yellow in Lakers case, and they don't have little details like team logo patch or nba, usa ribbons.

this issue has already been addressed through other threads and from experience, I had that problem too in the beginning and updating your video card's driver indeed solves this.

Why the fuck would you have to do that?

Because most graphic glitches are caused by Display Drivers that are not up-to-date.

Go to your manufactures web site (like www.nvidia.com) and search for the newest drivers for your card.

you need to know the model of the card you are using, go to its manufacturer's website and look for an updated driver for the card you are using

hey, I have the same problem whit the jersey numbers, its not a great problem, but the game is not the same. Now im trying to download new drivers for my GeForce2 video card. Let's see....

i hate to bring this up again as i'm sure many people have heard about this a lot, but i'm having the same problem. i tried updating my drivers, and when i did my screen went totally blank! i have an nvidia geforce2 mx400, windows xp, and a pretty jacked machine (2.0ghz 512mb of ram).

i think what i really need to know is do i completely uninstall the old driver before i install the new one? because i didn't do that..i'm a little afraid to because if it doesn't work again who knows if i'll be able to get it back! thanks for any help you can give me.

I have the newest driver and i still get the problem...I've emailed Tim about it...if he replies i'll tell ya'll how to solve it.

Well i solved the problem, here's how:

Me being the stooped guy i am, didn't uninstall my last driver before i installed the latest driver. For all the GF 2 MX/400 users...and think you've installed the latest driver...MAKE SURE YOU CHECK!

Go to start > Run > type in dxdiag. Go to the Display tab > See your Driver version... If it dosn't say 4.13.01.4072 then you don't have the latest driver.
To get the latest Driver go to http://www.nvidia.com.
If you have the latest driver and have installed it and the jersey numbers still don't show up, then uninstall the driver then install it again. Hey, sounds pointless? worked for me.

Hope i helped.
