How do you Injure your own player or the opp. Teams Player?

What is the easiest way to injure your player or an opposing teams player?
I E-mailed EA and I asked them why so many injuries occur while simulating and none happen during the game......... They responded telling me that actually, injuries are more likely to occur while your playing the game then simulating! I thought that was a bunch of BS. I played a whole 82 game season and didn't simulate a game and none of my players got hurt at all the whole season! Don't give me that crap EA, I know your lying your way out of this mistake!

Injuries are soooo seldom, this is like a bug.
I think you can injure your opponent's players with the flagrant foul button but also only sometimes.
