I've taken Felipe's already good roster & have adapted it to my preference of play (I adapted his because it already has some ratings I wanted but couldn't achieve with a minor knowledge of dbf pro. First thanks Felipe for your roster.
I'd offer it through e-mail, but would prefer e-mailing it to someone with a hosting site so they may post it for download. One thing, I'm not trying to achieve a pure sim roster, rather I'm looking for gameplay.
Characteristics:
(1) I increased the speed and quickness so that most players are in the 60-89 speed range. This allows for freestyle moves with almost all players.
(2) I increased inside scoring & dunking from F's roster +5, but left the overall fg the same. This allowed more consistent dunking, but shooters still blew a few & when tired players tended to miss more often.
(3) I increased FT shooting +7. This seems to help slightly in the already difficult foul shooting at higher settings.
(4) I increased steal rating so that most players are in the 60-75 ratings. I want to be able to play defense and I felt that too low a rating doesn't allow anything to be stolen except cross court passes.
(5) I increased defensive awareness so that most players are in the 80-92 zone. Players cover better. I left the block rating low; but I'm not too hung up on the blocks.
In the test games I've played the fg% ran 40's mid 50's. Threes were represenative. Game had a lot of life & played very well.
I will send it to some people on request (just the dbf player file) & you can paste it into a saved file & see how you like it. If someone can host it, that would be nice. Also, I'm sure that specific rosters need to be touched up. I'm a Sonic fan.

I donno, I've been playing all-star with 8 min quarters. I think Felipe's roster is trying for that. This one plays a solid game and seems to produce shooting in the 40-55% range. I'll send it to you if you provide your e-mail and you can see.

I've made a second roster with DEarth's jumping formula incorporated; seems to allow more shots without blocks. I'm trying to improve global foul shooting but getting some error messages in my dbf pro file; If anyone has a formula for improving this please inform me as to what you've done.

(3) 3-point shooting is part of game with these ratings; you can rotate and hit shots.

I was able to spend the day tweaking and play testing my roster today; I feel like it is improved. I've encorporated many of the things discussed bv others in the forum, It features:
(1) Players are less frantic than original roster, but you can still use freestyle moves.

(3) 3-point shooting is part of game with these ratings; you can rotate and hit shots.
(4) Improved defensive awareness.

It sounds to me like blackdawg wasnt too sick and was skipping teaching school to play NBA Live. Sounds good to me.
