Installing cyberface patches

Postby oceancity on Tue Nov 26, 2002 7:35 am

This may sound dumb, but how do you install cyberface patches into NBA Live 2003? I know it was easier in previous versions. All I have is the .fsh file and do not know what folder and subfolder it goes to. Any help with this will be appreciated.

NBA Live 2003/render/xplayer/

Then create a directory using the first 2 letters in a players first name and the first five of his last name.

raallen - Ray Allen

alivers - Allen Iverson

After that put the .fsh in the directory and your all set.

I dont have the xplayer folder under the render folder by default....

Does this mean I have to create the xplayer folder myself?

Cyberfaces

Did anyone edit a file located in C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2003\main\cscripts called start xstartup.cfg by adding the line customart 1? Does it work?

Two possible solutions...

1. Did you edit the last line of the \NBA Live 2003\main\cscripts\xstartup.cfg to read customart 1? You must do this in order for the xplayer directory to be "activated".

2. What is the name of the FSH file you put in the players directory inside the xplayer directory? The FSH file for the face must have the same "2 letters of his name and 1st 5 letters of his lastname" format as used for the directory name (example: raallen.fsh).

Another possible solution...

If it's a created player, you need to edit some things with a DBF editor.

Ah, you have to be more patient! It takes about 5 minutes to load...ages.
But it's well worth it when you can download the great patches. Just go off and get a drink or something and 5 minutes later it will be at the menu screen.
