Got Problems with NBA Live 2003 ...what shall i do?

Hi !
I got NBA Live 2003 , and I first installed it on xp .Good performance , but the problem is , that my sidewinder gamepad dont work on xp (fucking windows xp drivers are needed , MICRO$OFT you are fucking!!!!!!)
ok , so i decided it to install it with millenium , Windows ME!
it installed correctly but the performance is fucking! It lags even in the menues !!!
now , my question is , what can i do? i also did download the newest drivers for my nvdida geforce 2 titanium for windows me!!!
I dont know what to do , need help!

Man you;re english is bad... Make sure the USB connection is in properly and configure the game pad.. There is no reason it shouldn't work...
Unless the game pad is fucked;)
