Word to the weary...

Player ratings WILL drop as you go through Franchise. Just thought I would let you know Joe.

I didn't say it was perfect, it's just a start. I didn't see players ratings going down.

Edit:

I've simmed seasons and i'm pretty happy with the overall progress of players, I've steal got some fine tuning to do. But it's awesome to see some guys really develop like LeBron, after 3 seasons he was a 86 overall putting up 26/6/8

Well...of course you made great work Joe...that's not my problem. But the problem is IMO the game itself. Your ratings are good...but I played a single game and for me the FG % or the speed is too high...but when you lower the ratings, then it doesn't work with the franchise mode.

But great work, no question, especially the new salary system, simply great man...

I guess I could always lower FG% I'm looking for a happy medium where you can still make jumpshots and not miss everything. Glad you like the roster update though!

Edit:

Some roster update info

Updating salary file to include the new Salary Cap which is up 3 million and effects contracts of new players such as J O Neal, J Kidd, Payton so on and so forth.

Editing Contracts To Reflect It Being The 03-04 Season.

I don't know when V1.5 or whatever I'm calling this will be released because of an event I'm working from the 17th-20th, everything will be updated though and this release hopefully will be better then the initial one.

Nets FG% and 3pt% haven't been edited yet but as you can see the results through one quarter looked pretty positive. I'm also tweaking with the trading in franchise mode to see what the effect is. I was atlanta by the way.

G'day ,
well i used this roster in franchise mode, got all the way to the end of teh 25 years.
Somethings to point out

* I dunno if it was the roster or just the game ( i think its the latter),
well after each season, the free agents who were asking for alot of money, i mean the players coming off their rookie contracts and such rated over 84 would be asking for 14 mil or something along those lines, and when u start the new season, u would be able to sign them to minimum contracts if no games had been simmed yet (ie, u had a game on the 1st day of the season). So u'd be able to sign high rated players then at the end of the season you could just resign them for their asking price.

* The development of some players were odd, alot of players progressed as u would think they would progress, ie Kobe bryant who i had on my team, started at 86, and maintained that til he was 35 years old obviously dropping a bit at the end of his career and when he retired he was rated 56
But Carmelo anthony who start at 78 i think , in the 2nd season he got to 83, but i dunno wat happened, but by the 4th season he dropped to 74, i dunno if thats good or not, but even though his career package was A it didn't seem to matter :? me thinks its the game

* The real salaries were really fun to deal with, there weren't alot of trades during the season, but in the offseason, u could tell teams were thinking of the cap when they made moves, some interesting ones i noticed was Indiana traded O'neal to the Spurs for Tim Duncan STRAIGHT UP .... Kevin Garnett never got traded cause of his fat contract which is good.

*Ingame, the fg% was accurate floating around the 40-50% mark, often it'll take u 3trips down to be able to hit a shot, which is good since it was for both teams. Steals were good, blocks weren't too frequent. I dunno if the speeds were changed, but it seemed slower which was good. The teams would walk it up and set their offence. Defence was nice and tight. Quite a few subs during a 8 minute game.

* My games would hardly get to 120pts, unlike when i used other rosters where i would score 160pts and still lose in 8minute quaters :? . The scores of the other simmed games (set at 12min quaters) were accurate to the NBA Lack of scoring, usually with the highest scoring team just reaching 90 or so pts.

Besides from vince carter playing every game of the season, it was the best fun ever :) good work..

Only things that i had issues with was some development of players, but i loved the real salaries and such. :)

AH HA! You don't have CPU team movements on, they won't sign anyone unless you have that on, then you wouldn't have been able to sign those players. So you wouldn't have done so well.

I'm glad to see people were progressing nicely!

Again good, I've seen LeBron James traded on here but he gets pretty good.

*Ingame, the fg% was accurate floating around the 40-50% mark, often it'll take u 3trips down to be able to hit a shot, which is good since it was for both teams. That's still a work in progress as well some players need to be tuned down and some players speeded up.

Also a good thing

Besides from vince carter playing every game of the season, it was the best fun ever :) good work..

I'll see what I can do about Vince ;-) You're right though his hardiness was way too high.

Only things that i had issues with was some development of players, but i loved the real salaries and such. :)

Thanks, development is still being reviewed and updated :-)

I Appreciate the great info!

Found it, thanks Johnny Joe.

You should think about doin' your own advertisement and putting the URL of your site on your sig...

Also, a few questions:

- Settings recommended? 8-min quarters, superstar?

- Do I need to call the CPU's plays? Or not?

Thanks (Y)

Welcome Tales, I would play 6-8 minute quarters all star or supastar, you can call their plays if you'd like I think it would enchance this even more.

I think the speed and quickness of iverson is too low
and the quickness of Shark O'neal is more or less too high,
also,
although the primacy of duncan was set high ranking, but he did not shoot lot enough in real gameplay,i recommand u little higher his strength ,inside scoring and set him to be a "skilled big-man"but not "big-man with mid-range shoot"in "scorearea" in DBF,and then set his shootrange to "20" or "21" in DBF

because of jay williams being out for the next season by sure and nobody knowing if he will ever come back I think it's right to delete him from the Bulls roster!

The link is in my sig, and he's not totally deleted he's just on the retired list. So if he were to come back he's easily able to be added back in. (Y)
