Change what? How i import the *.fsh files into the *.viv-files?
1. Download and open EAGE (EA Graphics Editor)
2. Open the file "xcourt.viv" from NBA Live 2003\render\
3. Select the "Import Wizard" and find the take the files in your "xcourt" folder, in your NBA Live 2003\render\ folder
4. Wait untill completion, and quit the program
5. Do the same with your "xcommon" folder/file
6. Remember to delete the folders "xcourt" and "xcommon" afterwards.
That should work!

Them all!

Do also take them all in the "xcommon" folder.
Mon Mar 17, 2003 12:00 am
how do you select them all??
Mon Mar 17, 2003 12:23 am
you must do one at the time....you cant do them all in one

Kobe4mvp wrote:you must do one at the time....you cant do them all in one
Yes you can. Just open the EAGE, open the one of the *viv-files, press the "Import Wizard"-button, choose the option "Add files to an external TAR archive.", and press next. Then, press the button "Add..." and select all the files you want imported. Press "Next" and "Finished", and you're off.

Does it show up properly in your game (in the selct jersey screen)?
Do you have numbers for it? (e.g. chcl02_num)
How does your last record look like in the teamgear.dbf (where you added it)?

just a thought you can pick what jersey you wanna wear I was thinking is there a way to pick what court you wanna play on that would be a sweet add on! Also for all the players to use just the practice gear and still be able to keep the team jerseys basically combine the 5 on 5 street mode with the regular version can it be done?

No, unfortunately, you can't pick what court you want to play on. No you can't combine the street mode and the normal mode.

Well, it does not show up properly in the game in the select jersey screen, it looks red, yellow and greenish, I think I did everything right. And I used the numbers from a EA´s default practice jersey (I dont want numbers to show up) and I added the Jersey under the name cicl02....so I dont know what could be wrong

I'm almost done with an Auto-Install program for RimRocka's 5-on-5 outdoor patch. It will be a much smaller download (probably well under 1mb) and it will have an auto-uninstall program as well. I've also figured out how to make the net appear properly (fixed transparency); this will be included in the program (I've also changed the backboards to the regular outdoor backboords rather than the beachbackboard).
I'm going to try to do an auto-install program for the beach court too (if it's possible). And I want to edit the o file of the court and change some things around, like making the bench players sit on an actual bench instead of sitting on air, moving that tree so the players don't walk through it, etc. I may try to make a Rucker Park patch, but that's probably going to take a lot of work, so don't expect to see it anytime soon.
I also wanted to suggest that you can have have each player wear custom jerseys, like their practice gear. For example, if you have downloaded a player patch that has custom practice gear, just copy & rename the prxx.fsh to home.fsh and away.fsh in the player's custom art folder (ie Kevin Garnett's is render\xplayer\kegarne).

that's a great idea man, that would take out the hassle of downloading the patch and the readme and then maually installing the patch. pls make a new thread for it if you're done making the patch..

Excellent work RIMROCKA
Bchogan,
Cant wait for your beach court patch....that would really rock
Thanks RimRocka and thanks in advance Bchogan

EXCELLENT WORK

great to hear that,bchogan
good to see that you managed to fix the bugs in the patch

My Auto-Install patch of RimRocka's 5-on-5 outdoor patch is now available.
PLEASE READ THE README!! FILE COMPLETELY BEFORE INSTALLING!

This will automatically install RimRocka's 5-on-5 street patch. This patch also fixes a problem with the original patch where the net was displayed incorrectly (fixes transparency) and also installs the original urban backboards, instead of the beach backboards. You can also use reflections if you want; I've fixed it so that only the players will have reflections. This install procedure will also protect any patches you have already installed, and will restore them when the Un-Install program is used.
This isn't necessary for my patch, but if you want to have RimRocka's Day time urban court patch, download his original patch and copy the .fsh files over the ones created by my install patch (look in the "render\xcommon" and "render\xcourt" folders for the files to replace). Remember, only replace these files after you run the Install program.
