Do you have to copy a new folder if you want to install only the 1-on-1 version?
It says:

Extract the ALL of the files in this zip file to you NBA Live Street folder (even if you have already installed the 5-on-5 version of this patch). Double-click the file called "1-on-1 Rucker Install.bat".
End of installation.

Into my NBA Live street folder? i wasn't planning on making one, does this matter?

no you dont have to do make a new folder all you have to do is extract to your nba live folder and then Double-click the file called "1-on-1 Rucker Install.bat hope that helps you

Thanx BC this is the best court patch ever :!: :D :!: ...EA sports needs to give you a job or something :D ...look at the quality courts used created from basic progam tools...your court quality is so much better than EA its ridiculous...keep the great court coming BC...your are the man...your like the Lebron James of this patching thing...and I and I am sure many other people think you should go to "THE LEAGUE" (work for EA) look into that...keep up the good work :D

This patch is hot... But if he goes to EA, IMHO, he'll go to the dark side of the force...

Sorry about the miscomunication; I was using the read me from the 5-on-5 street patch, re-editing it for the 1-on-1 instructions, and I just forgot to change a few words. You do not have to have a separate "street" version of nba live in order to install the 1-on-1 patch (you don't really need it for the 5-on-5 version, either, it's just nice to have so you can play both Rucker and regular without uninstalling & reinstalling the patch).
Plus, the 1-on-1 doesn't change as many files as the 5-on-5.

Great work BC, was wondering though if you're gonna get back to updating some more NBA courts, like Golden State, Denver, LA Clippers, and a few more that could use your expertise. Would be very grateful if you did. Thx.

Tales your right...now that I think about it...if he did...go over to EA, I guess it would be going to the "DARKSIDE"...lol... :D :D :D :D .......Stay put BC...forget I said anything...but you are the greatest court patcher ever :!: ....It would be great if you started to do NCAA courts to help the NCAA MOD...that would be great :!:  :!:

Yeah, like the grand stand in the background. :( in fact, the only thing i noticed that it changes is the actualy court.

I play in one on one mode, and I noticed a lot of changes to whole place... such as the bleachers with the crowd...?

Sorry I didn't answer this before; I overlooked that part of the original message.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to have the nylon net sound with the urban court sounds. There aren't separate audio files that you can pick and choose which ones to change. I could put the nylon net sound in, but it would also mean that the ball would sound like it's bouncing on the wood court in the arena, and there would be the squeeking sounds of shoes against the wood too.

And regarding the 1-on-1:
Nick wrote:...the only thing i noticed that it changes is the actualy court.

It sounds like you may have installed the 1-on-1 patch first, and then the 5-on-5. I should have mentioned that, if you want to install both versions, you have to do the 5-on-5 first, because the 5-on-5 install creates new folders for xcommon and xcourt (the 5-on-5 changes the urban court files within xcourt, so that's why you see the court but not the surroundings).
You just have to re-extract the patch files and run the 1-on-1 installer again for it to work properly.

when i try to start a 5on5 the court is from rucker park, but in the background the other graphics are red with the lines "Bad Artist No Cookie"on it!!!and then the game crashes before the tip-off!!!can you tell me what´s wrong!on my firends pc it´s the same!
anyway nice patch-it´s just great!!!

Installation Problem

Fri Apr 25, 2003 11:41 am

When I attempt to install the 5 on 5 patch I receive the following message: 'Rucker' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file, cannot find Graphics profile. Then when I allow the installation to continue, it seems like the patch is applied, but the game crashes. The 1 on 1 patch works well, but I cannot figure out why the 5 on 5 doesn't work. Any Ideas?

Fri Apr 25, 2003 1:27 pm

This will sound stupid if you did it, but make sure every single file except for the 5-on-5 or 1-on1 (depending on which one you want) is in the main nba live 2003 folder. This is, by default, c:\program files\ea sports\nba live 2003. Then run the batch file, if it doesn't work, I have no idea whats wrong.

Mon Apr 28, 2003 11:26 pm

BC are you making a High-Res Rucker Park Patch with more detail? and if so have you started it yet?

Tue Apr 29, 2003 1:45 pm

IMO, his patch has more than enough detail. What would you want him to add?
