I hink its great what your doing ....Keep up the good work and I can't wait for the release......but in the mean time since i mostly a cyberface type of guy I'm going to spread the word to all the other patchers and see if you can get some help to complete this......

which team will you have rated as 1st

I'm using current stats of each player to develop ratings. Some things like dribble and dunking shooting range and shooting area, is from watching games. I also plan to use the overall team stats to tweak when ALL teams are entered. Such as if Kentucky has the best team defense rating (Defense shooting pct and fewest points allowed) then each player on that team defense ablitity may be mega modified by a percentageto be better. Same for best rebounding team, scoring team, 3's shooting team, ect. So far by just using stats and some formulas I came up with for the players teams play pretty realistic but I think slight bumps overall will even help more. SO TO ANSWER your question about who will be NUMBER 1? I don't know yet until I get done, but I would imagine it will be one of the current top 10 teams. We'll see.

Looks great, how many teams do you plan on making. Can we expect all the major conferences(Big Ten, ACC. etc...). Keep up the good work!!1

The SEC is done, ACC is done but for two teams I'm working on now, those will be done this weekend. I plan to do the BIG EAST and an AT LARGE conference to get the rest of the remaining to 20 to 25 rank teams in. Then I'll release and stop to play awhile myself as it will be MARCH MADNESS which is why I'm doing this. Other team may be added by me or other pachers out there after the first release.

With the top 25 teams then you could play tournament matches.
I will put in conferences in, so playing a 28 game season should work with sims as close as I can make. Take your team to the CHAMPIONSHIP.

Teams in ( ) may not be in first release. As I get to those slots I will re-evalute base on National rankings and some other team may be left out. Such as in the AT LARGE conference INDIANA could be replace by MARQUETTE. Indiana is sliding but they have alot of fans and history it's hard to push them out but if MARQUETTE beats LOUISVILLE this weekend MARQUETTE would become possibly a top 10 team and I would like to have aleast the top 20 included. And as I understand you can only add so many custom teams and it will screw up the franchise mode. Maybe you guys that have added custom teams could follow up on this if its true or not. But I should be able to add some teams in the 50's to 90's ALL STAR slots if need be.

Also I may switch the SEC to the NBA MIDWEST and the AT LARGE to the the NBA CENTRAL so the AT LARGE will default to 8 slots for teams nstead of 7.

The conferences with some lower team such as Vanderbilt and Miami and Florida State is so when you play a 28 game franchise, atleast you have an easy game.

How about adding University of Michigan as a AT LARGE TEAM??? They've had a great year. They would be ranked but because of the sancations put on them the NCAA for the Chris Webber thing they are not ranked. But there still A GREAT TEAM.

Yes you can add as many teams as you want But you can only add like 32 teams to franchise.

And Michigan Is already completed except for a court.

How about Indiana, Purdue and Penn State.????

My plan is to do the current NBA LIVE 2003 rosters full, then release. We're too late in the season to waste much time.
Some of those teams not on the first release will be added as custom teams then release as an update.

I've got some email on doing player faces. If any one wants to tackle this by all means go for it. If you get to me I'll add it or you can add yourself later after release.

Wake Forest and Florida State are done but jerseys. Jerry may have already done them I'll check first.

How about Wisconsin,Not having a great year but Kirk Penney is awesome. I could do Jerseys for you. If you had more than 32 teams that would be allright, \we could just choose what teams we want, would that work?

And yea Wisconson will probably be added to a 2nd release being there not in the top 25. But the last I saw the had a RPI of 30 and that would get them in a 2nd release if they stay in the top 50 either RPI or National Polls.

Any targeted release date? We don't need every single team in the NCAA before the first release haha

were shooting for the begining of March But that depends on beta testing and how many bugs we find

So far Bugs are minimal. I have found only a couple of typo's, mostly on names (left out a letter or something miss spelled). but very few. I'm sure people are going to say some play should be 6ft 5in and he's listed as 6' 4" well I see this also, Different publications sometimes list different weigths and heigths. But they are usually minimal differences that I'm not going to worry over.

Beta will probably be out this late this week or the last weekend in Feb. and Public release sometime around the end 1st week in March maybe 2nd week if we do hit any errors. Just in time for MARCH MADNESS which was the original goal.

The first release will only have about 29 to 40 teams. That will get it out in time for tournaments. More will be added later.

FACE PATCHERS I purposly did not use the same player face twice, so you can safely patch a players face without messing up another. It would be great If some one would do the HI PROFILE COACHES FACES as I'm not. I just pick a coach that looks the closest.

When beta is out I'll have time to type up details for you patchers so you'll now what can be done. AND NO it will not over-write your NBA stuff. Totally seperate. So you can create patches without losing your NBA Stuff.

Thanks to Jerry and Jared for helping with this project. Jerry has put enormous hours into this also as have I. Jared joined us this week which should speed up the release as he's working on BIG EAST courts so all I need to do is rosters. That'll save me huge amounts of time.

This is going to be so awesome. I have been watching this thread since it was posted and I am soooo excited about this project. I thank you so much for the time that you have taken to create this MOD just because you enjoy doing this so much, or I assume you enjoy it.
