There's stuff missing from their bios, and I'm going through all their looks to make them look more like the real people (you have much more to do so I understand why you might not have devoted that much time to this aspect of your patch)....I obviously had to edit the ratings and things like dunkpacks to make them match my own settings

I have a question, though. It seems that anybody that can shoot the 3 better than average and up to really well has a rating of 75. Deadly shooters have 76. So a guy like Allan Houston has a 75 3 rating, but so does Ira Newble

oh and you should switch wally and spree...spree will finally get to play 2 guard as wally plays the 3 so he doesn't get killed by every good swingman in the league

There are other things in the lineups, but I'm sure you'll fix them.

I simulated a whole bunch of seasons and I was very surprised by player development...it's not perfect, but it's better than I've seen. Carmelo tends to suck (I simulated more than one franchise) and lebron has gone as high as 90 for me.

The new rookie settings are still set outside of your rating parameters, though...so all the new rookies have ratings like they would for the default game...I was told this was impossible to fix, but you seem to be working on it so that it works correctly? is this true?

also, somebody else reported this already, but I've seen it happen even with no roster patches. Players simply don't sign with anybody during the offseason and then they're available for the minimum.

I was able to pick up tim duncan and steve francis for minimum salaries. They kept doing this until they retired. Overall, though...I really like what you have done with the salaries

the salary cap is set to what it was last year...and is the max salary really 40 mill a year? ha

Perhaps Campbell will start later in the year, he certainly wants to. But right now it's:

Also...for the Cavaliers...Wagner has been marked as fourth guard off the bench...he's not going to start...

I also second Spree at SG, Wally at SF...especially since Wally played there last year and McHale said he wanted a SG so he got Spree...

I'll take a look at it, the ratings are more or less so you can still make 3's and not miss a ridiculous amount. Ira shot 38% from downtown last year, he's not bad from downtown at all he just doesn't shoot them a whole lot only 80 something attempts.

well ira was just an example...I've seen much lesser players with 75 ratings

I've seen some players that aren't known for their shooting with 73...that's 2 away from allan houston

regardless of percentages ira newble just isn't as good a 3 point shooter as allan houston

so having them with the same rating just ain't right...

79 always seemed a good rating for guys to miss and make...once you hit 80 you'll make more than miss. At 79 you're guaranteed to miss wide open 3's from time to time

76 as the highest might be too low for most people...though I could be wrong

I'll look at boosting peoples 3PT for the really good shooters, Expect a new version today or tomorrow.

OP Devin Brown and Theron Smith have been added. Memphis fans can find Theron on the FA list because of the massive amount of players the grizzlies have.

that's one thing I've yet to do for my rosters...once I do that and the career packages for the rookies I think I'll be set

oh yeah and the new salaries...gah...that's gonna take forever

the ratings themselves have just a little bit of tweaking to go...would be much quicker if I could use a tool to increase ratings by a certain interval on the fly

the one I have tried doesn't work for windows me, and I don't have access so I can't use the tool kit

doing every player one by one sucks ass...instead of just doing +1 to all experiences then going back and changing the players that didn't play last season I had to go and do them all individually, grrr

I might think about releasing it if I get good results in franchise mode. I might pack it with a whole bunch of cyberfaces and make a huge uber-patch.

Yeah they come in the update, well all but Terry Porter because he's a new coach and nobody has made him.

Two things I feel you need to improve: low-post scoring and blocks... decrease them, do something like DK did...

I don't know how much I'm gonna mess with salaries and shit...cause playing franchise with these rosters is pointless

it resets the player ratings after one season is completed and the rookies don't follow your ratings

is there no way of overcoming this??? joe?

But I'm really thinking about releasing it, even if people can only play one season and exhibitions (oh yeah, 1 on 1)...I'm really happy with how it has turned out.

I do not wish to impose on this thread or take credit away from Joe (as he's certainly done some excellent work), but I do invite suggestions for changing ratings. Also, I feel it's somewhat of an overly harsh criticism to suggest that two player's overall ratings make for a terrible roster patch.

Again, I'm sorry for imposing upon this thread, but I feel I must point out that I do invite suggestions and corrections of ratings (though sometimes I must exercise my editorial right to retain some ratings or make compromises to suit the majority's tastes).

Andrew i love your patch lol, i was jk, i'd actualy prefer your ratings, i only prefer joes because of the new salary and player experiance updates...when i'm playing exibition how ever i use ur patch andrew because i like most of the ratings better.....i'm justa huge celts fan


BTW joe, i've added the bobcats to your roster, still fixing some small bugs, but when im done i was wondering if i got the permision of the court, jersey, logo makers (which is currently me cuz the ones i got sucked lol), and yourself if i could release the updated bobcats version (same as yours cept bobcats are in there with scrubs, court, jerseys, logos ect) I'de give you all of the credit, or if u wanted i could send u the bobcat update and you could release it yourself, i just think people would like having the bobcats available..

It's cool, no harm done. But I know some people aren't aware that I'm open to suggestions about player ratings, so I thought I'd mention it.
